A Sad Message

I received a phone call yesterday from Delmas Kelley, an Ashton Woods property owner. Delmas wanted to share the sad news that his son, Kurtis Kelley, a full time resident in our community just died from the COVID virus. Delmas further shared that several weeks ago, Kurtis’s mother, another full time AW resident, also died of COVID.
Delmas asked me to share this message with the AW community.

We are so sorry about your losses. Our condolences to Leon and the rest of the family members. The impact of COVID and it’s affect is so unpredictable. It is very sad how this pandemic has caused so much havoc our lives.

Leon and Delmas, you are both in our prayers! So sorry for your loss. May God give you comfort through this time. Words can’t express how sorry we feel for Leon losing his wife and stepson. Delmas losing his son.

My condolences. Even in Ashton Woods, there is a lively debate on the wisdom of vaccination. I’ve been told by neighbors here that I will die from my three Pfizer shots. Well, I am 66, feeling fine, and on my way to vacation in France. Not trying to debate the issue here, but I’ve decided that the alternative to vaccination is worse. Just my personal experience.
