Tree trimming and water feature contractors

Can anyone recommend a tree trimming service? We need the ability to climb into trees to cut off limbs along with cutting down whole trees. Also, does anyone have experience having a water feature built on their property? We’d like to have a water feature installed just off our porch. I found Aquatic Creations out of Winchester who have a nice website but I wondered if anyone has any experience with them. Thanks for any help you can provide.

    Tim,

I can’t help you with the water feature, but we have used SkyView Tree Services out of Augusta several times. They are very good, but a bit expensive compared to some of the local sole practitioners. Most recently, we got a crew of 4 for $2200 per day. They have all the equipment necessary to climb trees, chip up brush, and get to high limbs with a cherry-picker. You can do an internet search for them to get their contact information.

I have also used Corbin’s Tree Service, but he’s generally booked 6 months out and doesn’t have the big equipment that SkyView has.

      Dawn & Tim,

M&M out of Romney should be able to help. They are working on Gladys’ & Andy’s (Lot 334 on Nathaniel Mt. Rd., about 1.5 miles from our place) entrance, which is the best in AW & possibly anywhere in WV. If you have not seen it, it is well worth a visit. There gate must have over a hundred tree leaves that were welded individually. The trees cover a buck, doe, & two fauns, which have spots. No water feature but if they can do what they’re doing at Gladys’ & Andy’s, they should be able to do just about anything.
If you do not want to make the drive, Andy can e-mail you a picture.
