Excessive Speeding on Trough View Road

Excessive Speeding on Trough View Road

Community,

Good morning!

It’s been brought to our attention that there was a vehicle traveling on Trough View at excessive speed which resulted in damage to the road as well as a possible accident.

The details are still being gathered as we investigate, but if anyone has additional information pertaining to vehicle description, etc., please don’t hesitate to contact me on my cell at 856-300-3366.

Thank you for your help as we look to resolve this problem.

Excessive speed wasn’t the issue. If it was, when the lug nuts let go on the wheel of the vehicle it would have kicked it over the steep cliff to the right, as the vehicle was traveling down the hill towards the gate. If that had happened you wouldn’t have to worry about your own investigation, the cops would have contacted the board directly. As for “damages,” the rut from the malfunction is no deeper than any of the current ridges of shale, potholes, or washboards, and no where close to the ruts that form in the soft ground after the spring thaw on the same road. It’ll come right out when the road is grated again, whenever the board decides to schedule Phil to do so. The road was swept clean as a courtesy to neighbors because of broken glass. If Trough View is graveled soon, even without grating, you won’t see it. Fortunately, nobody was injured. Do not block or delete this thread or post. Jason
