Mountain Solar installed our system a few years ago, they did a good job. Not sure they’ll service other units.

    Mountain View Solar

We, too, used Mountain View Solar. We had to call them last week because our inverter wasn’t working properly. It turns out that there is a power problem in Ashton Woods right now. We aren’t getting enough voltage from the local energy distribution facility. You might see your lights flickering often. That is what causes it. Potomac Edison is working on fixing the problem, but no estimate on when it might be fixed. Hopefully, today.

Another client of Mountain View Solar (mtvsolar.com) – they installed a 5.5 Kw system here last yearallong w Powerwall and we have not had any issues – very prompt w scheduling as well.

A month or 2 ago I would’ve said Mountain View Solar as well. I’m not so sure now. I hit a brick wall with them recently:

    * They missed contractually stipulated installation window for the phase 2, meaning they got the panels up on the roof quite a while back but no electrical work has taken place yet. Approximate date for that has come and gone with no word from them. And that of course pushes back the phase 3 as well, which is battery installation.
    * They were generally slow to reply post sale requiring my following up several times.
    * And in the last few weeks they seemed to have stopped responding all together.

So I don’t know what’s up with them lately, personnel issues, spike in demand, etc, but it’s been frustrating dealing with them. Sales process was great and informative. Installation – not so much. Had I known it’d turn out this way I would’ve looked elsewhere. Just my .02.

Wanted to update my recommendation. Planning and scheduling of my job was reassigned to a different individual shortly after my last post. Things started moving smoothly after that. Treat it as an isolated personal issue, or perhaps growing pains due to high demand.
