Looking for Notary Public

Looking for Notary Public

Is anyone in our community regularly who is a Notary Public? I have some documents I need notarized before I can mail them. If not, maybe the Library or other public building?

Thanks,
Cheryl

    Cheryl,

I have used the notary at Summit Bank in town, but we have an account there. If you don’t have an account there, you should probably give them a call to see if they will notarize documents for non-customers.

HAHA. I had a situation in the past week where I needed to notarize documents for an estate probate. I sat in the Truist branch for 20 minutes, only to be told that 1. Sorry, my license just expired, and 2. We don’t do Probate stuff anyway.

    I’m, like, Um, Excuse me?

He said, yeah, go to the UPS store.

Seriously? Yep, UPS store did it, for $5 per signature.

But, anyway…. I hope you have better luck at the bank, I thought it was standard practice at banks, but I guess not at Truist Bank.

I’d used Bank of Romney last year w/o having an account with them.

We used the Grant County Bank in Moorefield. We do have accounts there, but I’m sure they do it for non-account holders as well.
